Poondi Village in Tamil Nadu reflects how vernacular architecture evolves through climate, culture, and local materials. This study explores its compact settlement, terraced clusters, and community-driven spaces that respond sensitively to topography and environment. By documenting its organic growth and spatial patterns, the project highlights the strong connection between built form and everyday life. It also draws lessons from traditional practices to inspire context-responsive design approaches for the future, rooted in local identity and sustainability.
